As usual I have to start with a weather comment. Literally its disgusting and unpredictable. Might as well just take my entire wardrobe wherever I go so I can change just like the weather.
The humidity does make you feel like you're in a small sauna with a very sweaty old man but it does give me an excuse to get out the summer wardrobe (for the very few days we can in the UK). A personal favourite of mine (which I can get my white legs out for) is the Playsuit. They can be quite formal and quite casual but they cool you down in the humidity. Also no risk of it flying up if its windy! I have multiple playsuits (not jumpsuits, shorter ones) but I have chosen my favourite formal and casual playsuit to show you.

This playsuit makes me what to live in the Caribbean all year round. I love the print which is what first drew me too it as it isn't in your face but still quite bold. I love the way it flares out at the hips as it makes you look very curvy and your waist tiny! The extra crochet on the hem, waist and neckline really complete the outfit to make it look quite different to any other playsuit. You can wear it to dinner in the evening or over your costume when you get out the see-through Caribbean waters.
I would personally style this with nude pumps and maybe a white flower garland and suede fringe shoulder bag for a festival look.
The Formal Playsuit

Now this isn't probably what you are expecting. I found this and I immediately loved it, however the gapping back makes it very difficult. I had to purchase a bra with a plastic strap around the back just to be able to think about wearing it. But it was worth the investment! It looks so classy and so cute on and its such an unique good quality item and I can't believe the price on it. Probably one of my favourite items from Zara. I would style this up with a long pendant gold necklace and black boots with straightened hair.
So it was my (17th) birthday last week and my sister thought it would be hilarious to buy me a haul from the makeup brand Seventeen. I honestly don't know a lot about the brand but I occasionally see it on a revolving podium in boots or Superdrug but, to be honest, everyone just walks passed it and goes to the gleaming aisles of Broadway branded banners occasionally featuring grumpy sales assistants which would honestly try to murder you if you were within 10 metres of their products. Being relatively new to makeup I tend to stick to the big brands that I know I can rely on and I never really venture out. However this has forced me to step out of my comfort zone and try something completely new. For any guys reading, yes changing from one makeup brand to another is a BIG DEAL. Well it is for me. It's the difference between looking like that pretty contoured snapchat filter and being a orange covered in marker pen. I got 6 items from the brand and just a quick comment on first impressions; they looked really sleek and expensive which was very appealing. Firstly can I say, I never really do my eyebrows. They are a feature I like to forget because I honestly don't know how to save them. They are both different shapes but I can't decide which one I like better so they are just uneven and it kinda makes me look like I'm constantly judging everything. So with that in mind, probably don't copy my tutorial. I started off with using the Clear definition mascara/brow brush to brush up the hairs into a shape I liked. I then followed the instructions from inside the brow kit using the wax first then the colour then the setting powder (used under and at front of eyebrow). For a first time properly giving my brows a go I don't think it was too disastrous. I have to rave about the Clear definition gel as it made my eyebrows calm down and have a sense of direction rather than the bushes they normally are. I'm giving it a 10/10! It is so worth the investment and it can be used as a clear mascara as well! The brow kit is also a great investment for someone who has no idea about brows. It has great instructions which won't make you look like you plucked two slugs out of the garden and stuck them to your face. 8/10
The contour

Oh the joys of contouring. Believe me, its taken me a while to work out how to blend properly... but this palette is not only bronzer but can be used as a highlighter as well!!! The excitement! I started using the deepest brown as I wanted a really defined contour which was a little bit orange but with about 5 minutes of blending we got a good result. I used the lightest shade for a highlighter and it looked wonderful and I was really pleased with it. Unfortunately I've just purchased an Elizabeth Arden bronzer which blends effortlessly and matches my skin tone perfectly so the Seventeen brand bronzer wasn't really competition. However I would definitely recommend it as an affordable and inexpensive bronzer. 7/10
The eyeshadow

For any of you who know me, I love love love eyeshadow and this was my 6th palette! 'Easy on the eye' comes with 8 matte shades and 4 creams. I'm very picky about my eyeshadows as I like they very pigmented and very blendable and this palette had compete with my well established other palettes. I first tried the matte shades, 'Onyx black' first which came out as a dark blue then blended it with 'twilight blue'. I say blended...more like stabbing my eye with my brush because the matte eyeshadows DO NOT BLEND to my disappointment. I was feeling kinda down about this because I do love eyeshadow so I began to use the creams in the corners of my eyes and OMG, life had meaning again. The cream eyeshadows ARE AMAZING. They are so pigmented and, obviously being a cream, easy to blend. I absolutely love the colours and I will definitely be using them again. Overall 7/10
The eyeliner

It looks so funky and came in the most amazing packaging. I didn't have long to film the video so I didn't do a spectacular job of my eyeliner but I gave it a go. It has the tiniest tip to draw with which is perfect and it offers a bit of flexibility as well, slightly too much though as I nearly drifted up to my eyebrows! What shocked me was that it was almost instantly drying which is perfect for me because I always blink then I have to remove it which removed the eyeshadow then I do it all again then I blink again... etc. It was a wet look finish which I really liked considering I'm not normally a fan of it. Overall 9/10
The lipstick

Again, funky packaging! I really loved the outside of it and I would love my lipstick rack to be full of that design. I got the colour 'Rule Breaker' which I loved the colour of. As you can see it comes out in a bright berry colour which is so me. I also really liked the shape of it as it made it easy to cover my cupids bow. I was expecting it to be a matte but it surprised me and instead was really glossy and smooth. This product had no negative feedback as far as I'm aware! 10/10
So here are a few photos from after the completed look. Of course I wouldn't wear everything together as it would be a bit too bold but I really liked experimenting with this new brand and its something I would like to do again! I'm starting something new here and I'm gonna see how it goes. I thought I would show you some things that I really like this month and that you will maybe see me wearing. May is not only the start of summer but it's also my birthday month so I have many things to look forward to. May is a challenging month because as we are finding out, one day its 29 degrees and the next its raining. May is also the time when exams start which means daily mental breakdowns. However in the midst of all the stress I'm writing another blog (I really should be revising) because believe it or not but it has been a year since my first EVER blog post! Thank you so much for all your support because without you I wouldn't be collaborating with brands and buying so many clothes that I don't need!
Item 1: Winged sandals

So yes, I do feel like a Greek goddess because lets be honest, THEY ARE SO FREAKING COOL! I bought them off my app called Vinted (second-hand unused clothing) and as soon as I saw them I fell in love. They were retailing at £65 and after tough negotiation, I got them for £11. The only slightly annoying problem is that they jingle and after a long day of school you just want to rip them off your feet and sell them to Morris dancers. Overall 9/10
This beautiful white lace dress is perfect for summer then only problem is it is basically see through. This means no underwear so I would advise just wearing it over a bikini. However the detail on it is gorgeous and it has a crochet waistband with daisies on it and mini pompoms on the neckline and straps. Again I got it off Vinted in a bundle with some other clothes so I cost me on average £4 so I can't argue with the price. Overall 7/10 (Because I'm not brave enough to wear it with no underwear)

I love just getting random stuff in the post. This came to me but I don't know which brand sent it to me so I don't know the retail selling price but OMG this is the mascara to get this summer. It is a natural brown/black colour which makes your lashes seem naturally longer and it really lengthens your lashes. It isn't waterproof but very smudge proof. Its so light I forgot I had it on and rubbed my eyes but none came off! Overall 9/10
Item 4: Leaf ring
I love a pretty ring. Especially this one as it has the same design as the Pandora ones! Obviously this is in Gold and has pink glittery leaves but that just makes it more shiny which of course I'm not objecting to. The only slightly not so positive thing about it is that the pink glittery bits started to fall off almost instantly which was really sad. Overall 6/10
Item 5: Blue floral Jumpsuit

I know. Its bold but it's sassy af and anyone can rock it. It can be dressed up with Chelsea boots and a leather jacket or it can be worn to the beach as a casual pullover. But wherever you wear it you're going to make a statement! The bold prints are really in season and aren't that tacky so it can be seen as quite a classy look. Personally I can't believe the price as it is so cheap for something that has so many uses! Overall 10/10

Lets be honest, you either look Audrey Hepburn classy or like a mixture between Coraline and the Grinch. Cat eye sunglasses require a sophisticated outfit paired with a sassy hip wiggle walk to pull off because they are a bold piece to wear. I find that there is a general struggle when choosing sunglasses as you don't want to look like a bug or like your wearing swimming goggles. The solution is to really think about your face shape, but more on that later. Cat eyes are a 50's/60's retro look which is perfect for this summer matched with a circle dress. (Insert you opening Google to look up what a circle dress is). The perfect makeup to go with this is bold red lips and curly hair. The true 50's image. However obvious we aren't in the 50's so there are many modern cat eye sunglasses available. The classic black sunnies have been replaced with golden frames and funky lenses. So if your picky, now is prime time to get searching. I am so excited to say that I have been lucky enough to receive some cat eye sunglasses from Accessoryo and I would love it if your checked out their website! Their products are such good quality for the price so I would highly recommend them!
These are wonderful! They fit perfectly around my face and are such good quality. These compliment my face shape which helps make me look less like a bug and more stylish. The cat flicks are quite big but I absolutely love the texture of frame as it makes it more of a classy look. On the more practical side of things, they have UV protection and at the price they are, solid 9/10 from me.
As you can see, they don't suit me which is such a shame because they are so pretty! The lenses come too far down my face and the flicks are very extreme so I think they would suit someone with a wider face. However the gold rim is so modern and they are perfect for the beach (Again with UV protection). They have a brown tinted lens which I'm not so keen on because you can see my eyes through them and that just freaks me out! After all sunglasses are for spying on people without them seeing your looking at them... I love the design but not right for me so a 5/10.
The Designer Twist
Ralph Lauren classic cat eye sunglasses £80
Now these were an investment... but a great one! Wearing these I feel like I have the sass of Lucy from MIC. They are of course amazing quality and I absolutely love the design. They are more of a subtle cat flick which I think is better for someone with a smaller face and the arms of the glasses are gorgeous as they have a woven pattern on them. However the price tag is a little steep and really your only buying them for the name but I still love them so 8/10.

If you don't know what Ivy Park is then you might as well move to a cave and live in the dark. Seriously, who hasn't heard of the greatest collection on earth? All worship Queen B! Everyone is going crazy for it and so obviously I had to get my hands on some of the pieces designed by Beyoncé herself! Let's take it back to the beginning. The collection was released on 14th of April and demand was so high that topshop couldn't take any orders and the website broke. THIS IS HOW DESPERATE GIRLS GET! (I realise this has taken me a while to get a blog up about this but that's because of my poor money management and as I found out, £10 can only buy you the arm of the bodysuit.) The collection is mainly black, white and grey with some jumpers and tunics being pink and turquoise. The words on the clothing is IVY PARK or the number 4 (her fav number). She is really trying to inspire women to feel good about their own bodies. When I was choosing pieces for my blog I had to take into consideration price and style. Some things were really not my style (those sliders? No thanks) but I tried to venture outside my comfort zone to show you how I would tackle Ivy Park.
Outfit 1
Ivy park Topshop Bodysuit £30, New Look shorts £18, Adidas superstars £60
The bodysuit was a key item that I needed to get. She was wearing it in one of her promos and she looked fantastic. Apart from being a little expensive for a bodysuit, I also had the problem that the only size left online was an XXS which is about a 6 and I'm definitely not a 6. My body is very long so I get a slight wedgie but just noting, get your size. The material used is thick and structured and I really like the fabric as it pulls you in and up giving you curves. Overall rating? solid 8/10 only downside was price and sizing.
Outfit 2
Ivy Park Sports Bra £22, Ivy park shorts £16, Ivy park headband £8, Trainers (Ref: Blog 5)
This outfit actually makes me want to workout. Firstly the sports bra. Super stylish and slick and feels so nice. However its not very supportive. I have a large bust and I still need to hug my boobs when I run. But it is great for making you look great while you 'exercise'. Overall 7/10 because I love the design but its not really that functional. The shorts I choose in a pale pink to make it a bit different from the classic black and white of the collection. They fit perfectly and accentuate my bum which is always a benefit. Generally just love them so 10/10 from me. Lastly I just wanted to briefly comment on the headband. Honestly its too thick and with my thin hair, it takes up most of my head. Styling it was really hard because it also made my ears pop out which isn't flattering. And for £8? not worth it sorry 2/10 for the fact it looks cool.
Overall I do love this collection because it looks so slick and makes me feel curvy and sassy. However from a practical point of view it's not that supportive but I would say you get amazing quality for your money!

What is this weather? Some days I think I could wear a bikini to school whereas other days you would need to take me to the Sahara desert before I could even emerge from under the warm covers of my duvet. Why do we live in England? Choosing an outfit is particularly difficult in spring as it can be freezing in the morning and boiling at the end of the day. Yes you could carry round a jumper in your bag but... effort?! My solution? A seriously stylish and sassy coat. Easier said than found. I have spent way too long looking for the perfect coat. Something that goes with everything, good for casual and evening wear, chic and warm! I had almost given up the search because all the coats that I did like were about £100 over budget. Price became a big issue as well. If you know me, I don't have a lot of money as it seems to just slip through my fingers when I go shopping (oops). The cheapest coat I could find that fitted my criteria was £70 and so that was a no. Think of how many pairs of heels I could buy with that money! At my wits end, I trawled into New Look. Ooh! Sale! Eyes lit up as usual when I see a bargain. Round the back was the coat rail filled to the brim with disgusting hideous things that even my gran wouldn't make the mistake of buying. About to turn away, the sales assistant put one coat on the rack at the other end. I just knew it was going to be the one. But unfortunately another girl had had the same thought. Classic Cat-fight time. I casually but quickly walked in that direction pretending to not be interested. As I passed the coat, I sneakily grabbed it and immediately went to the changing rooms. Once safely in the queue I looked back to see the other girl filled with anger as she violently threw coats from side to side to find another one of the same. 1-0 to me. I think things are meant to happen and honestly I wear this coat at least 3 time a week at the minimum. So here is my favourite way to tackle the spring coat:

Paris is the fashion capital. Parisians have fashion sense in their blood. It's like a Mecca of all things chic and classy. Somehow everyone just wakes up looking fantastic which leaves us tourists feeling a tad inadequate. Don't panic however! I've got the perfect outfits to help you hold your own amongst the French fashionistas. It's go hard or go home. Paris is the time to bring out your wackiest outfits and flaunt them next to the Effiel Tower. Do not mistake this message for Drag queen look. Just think about what you could wear with PVC or Metallic! Parisians can also do a perfect minimalist look which makes them seem like they didn't even notice how gorgeous their outfits are. They are inspirational people really. So naturally, when I finally went, I put together some outfits that echo the style of Paris but let me just say, they look 10 times better then I could ever look! So this is my attempt at Parisian style from a British blogger.
Waking up at 3 gave me 5 minutes to get ready before we left for the Eurostar. Travelling means you have to wear comfy clothes otherwise you will feel awful when you arrive at your destination. I chose a grey jumper to keep me warm as I didn't know the temperature of Paris. I pair this with my missguided trousers which makes seats feel like clouds. Nike trainers are a must for travelling as they are super comfy which means you can make it through a day of travelling and walking without getting blisters and sore feet. I accessorised with a cute heart necklace and a black rucksack to keep all my valuables in. The monochrome look meant I was fitting into the minimalist style of Paris from the moment I arrived. Quirky and comfy. What more could you want?
Day 2:

Solid day around Paris requires comfy shoes. Just a reminder: heeled boots are gorgeous but they will kill you (or more correctly, your feet) so again I opted for trainers. It was quite a warm day so I broke out into my Aztec skirt which keeps to the winter colour palette and has a fantastic design. Paired with black top and leather jacket? Parfait! I also decided to wear a statement leaf necklace to bring out the colours in the skirt.
Day 3:

Leaving day. It was over much too quickly! Wearing trainers AGAIN, I had a lovely day before we left for London. I wore trousers as the weather was getting colder. A shell cut top with a leather jacket to emphasis colour variation. I wore the long bronze necklace to give it a chic twist which I thought was quite Parisian.
Paris is one of my favourite places in the world and I will be back to try and master the Parisian style. I hope this has been somewhat interesting and I'm sorry for my awful modelling skills but a massive thank you for Riki for her photography skills. (@rikiauton)
